Shearwater has landed

It’s something we’ve been quietly working towards, watching it come together piece by piece, and hoping we’d have it ready in time. So to finally see it open, finished, and exactly as we imagined… feels like a bit of a milestone for us this year.

NEW for this season, Shearwater Lodge is part of our Emperor range, elevated high overlooking the park to make the most of its position. From here, the view opens out across Saundersfoot and along the coastline towards Monkstone Point — one of those outlooks that never really looks the same twice.

It’s a space that invites you to pause without needing much else — the kind of place where you find yourself sitting a little longer than planned, just watching the coastline change around you.

Inside, the space has been designed to feel open and easy to settle into. The large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is bright and welcoming, with floor-to-ceiling doors that draw your eye straight through to the view beyond. It’s a layout that naturally shifts with the day — slow mornings with the doors open, shared meals around the table, and quieter evenings as the light starts to change outside.

There’s a real sense of space throughout, with three bedrooms sleeping up to six guests, alongside a family bathroom and two en-suite showers. It’s a layout that works just as well for families as it does for couples sharing, giving everyone their own space while still feeling connected.

Step outside and the setting really comes into its own. The private decking stretches out in front of the lodge, with sea views across the coastline and a glass-panelled section positioned by the hot tub — giving you a clear view to enjoy while you relax. It’s just as suited to a quiet morning coffee as it is to unwinding later in the day, as the light starts to soften over the water.

For us, Shearwater has been one of those behind-the-scenes projects that’s slowly built into something really special. And now it’s ready, we’re just looking forward to seeing it being enjoyed.
