Christmas Breaks

On Christmas Eve sample the yuletide atmosphere of our village pubs and restaurants – or maybe start your Xmas with the carols, candles and peace of the midnight Eucharist at our ancient parish church of St Issells.
Come prepared for any weather and revel in a bracing walk on near deserted beaches. Or experience a completely alternative Christmas lunch and toast marshmallows over a wood fire on the shingle at Swallow Tree Bay! Alternatively, simply relax and appreciate the pleasure of just being together in a quiet celebration.
On Boxing Day the traditional sea swim in Tenby is an occasion not to be missed, with hundreds of swimmers, many in fancy dress, braving the elements. Taking part is an experience never to be forgotten and the festive atmosphere in town afterwards is amazing. Or enjoy our local country customs with the spectacle of the traditional Boxing Day Hunt meet.

New Year Breaks
Pembrokeshire is a popular choice for New Year celebrations. Tenby has a large variety of pubs and restaurants offering everything from a noisy, party atmosphere to a fine dining experience. Saundersfoot hosts family friendly celebrations on the harbour with live music and fireworks.
On New Year’s Day Saundersfoot village buzzes with the excitement of the annual Sea Swim, where hundreds of spectators line the beach and harbour to cheer on the brave swimmers, again many in fancy dress. You are very welcome to join in, and if you take the plunge you receive not only a medal for your efforts, but free cawl (a traditional broth) in many of the village pubs! A fantastic and memorable way to start the New Year.
